| Description | The new incisal splint is made of fiber reinforced composite material - this is its principle. FRC with unidirectional as well as multidirectional orientation of reinforcing fibers can be used. The replacement of the wire (as reinforcing material) is the most important improvement of the operating procedure because of excellent bonding between the reinforcement and the covering composite material. Also the aesthetic effect is excellent. In comparison to the wire the FRC strip can be better adapted, the adaptation can be done directly on the treated teeth. This technical solution removes the disadvantages of the previous state of the art. |
