Citation
Description Based on primary sources, the text deals with the beginnings of the Order of the Temple in Bohemia and Moravia and the formation of its fundamental structures in this region. The Templar houses in Čejkovice, Jamolice-Templštejn, Uhříněves and Prague (St Lawrence) are taken into consideration, particularly in terms of the reconstruction of their properties. The text also touches upon political activities of Commander Ekko at the turn of the thirteenth and fourteenth century. A special emphasis is laid on the role of the Czech lands within the overall structure of the Order of the Temple and the fate of its properties after its suppression in 1312.
