Description | Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are continuously formed in cell metabolism. Under pathological conditions, there is imbalance between prooxidative and antioxidative processes. ROS cause oxidative damage to cell macromolecules – proteins as well as lipids, but damage on DNA possesses the biggest importance. In our study, the method for analysis of urinary 8OHdG by HPLC was developed. The method is based on SPE purification follows by HPLC with coulometric detection. |
